This is very true; good furniture having an admirable quality doesn’t need to cost much. All that is needed is that it should have a good quality and a low price, just what the customers want. In order to reduce the prices seller can cut down on various other expenses thus considerably reducing the cost price. After everything, maybe he will profit less but he will gain what no other of his competitor has gained, that is customer’s vote of confidence. He should develop furniture on the basis of his customers’ need, how they want the product to be, if possible focussing on multipurpose products which please customers the most. But above all, quality should be maintained and that means there should be no compromise whatsoever on quality. If you try to fool the customers just by bluffing that our furniture has a very good quality, you may succeed once or twice but that will be a total failure, a total fiasco in the long run.
In order to make furniture, you should use top quality wood and then sell it at affordable prices. Cost does not decide the quality of a product but it’s the product itself that justifies its quality.
So, the most important thing is good furniture doesn’t need to cost earth. You don’t have to publicize that your furniture is expensive and of the best quality. Customers have that basic sense of judgement, all you need to concentrate upon is that the quality is good and prices are correct. If you try to cheat customers, it will only lead to your doom. Hence, it is very important that you gain the faith of the customers. Once that is done, business will automatically shine. So, quality definitely needs to be stressed upon but at the same time keeping in mind “the customer’s pocket”.
